Losing Your Religion: Part 2

Michael Fraser — April 11, 2010

Religion has been around since the fall of humanity and is not going away anytime soon. The reason why is because humanity has an insatiable curiosity about God. Men and women since the fall have made systems and traditions a way to bridge the gap between them and God. These systems provide formulas for communicating with and obtaining blessings from God, but unfortunately no assurance is provided. And if we are honest with ourselves, this curiosity can get pretty strange pretty fast. Religion can be mystical, superstitious, legalistic, judgmental, and yes, hypocritical. But the birth of Christianity changed all of that. Over the next 3 weeks, the pastoral staff explains how the Gospel serves as the fulfillment of religion.
